Disclosure & general advice

How the site is paid for, and what our information is — and is not.

Partner links

Some links — for example to register a company or get accounting help through Sleek, or to compare small business insurance through BizCover — are partner links. If you buy through them we may receive a commission. You do not pay more because of it. Partner links are marked “partner”, open in a new tab and carry rel="sponsored".

Partners do not review or approve our guides, and a partnership does not decide whether a product or service is mentioned.

General information, not advice

Guides explain what published company, tax and programme rules say. They do not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, and they are not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Before you act, check the official source we link and consider getting advice from a registered professional in your country.

Insurance

Information about business insurance is general advice only. Before buying a policy, read its product disclosure statement (PDS) and target market determination (TMD) and consider whether it suits your business. OPC Direct does not issue, arrange or recommend specific insurance policies.

Government programmes

Summaries of loans, subsidies and start-up zones quote the programme document and date. Eligibility is decided by the issuing authority, programmes change, and a summary here is not an offer or a promise of support.

AI assistance

The on-site assistant is an AI system. It can make mistakes; check important points against the source it links.
